after much grumbling and losing all my confidence over some crummy nougatine and royal icing, voila! i give you my slightly awkward, leaning a bit, Croquembouche.  I am very proud to say that I carried it all the way home from school without breaking or dropping it, along the way stopping for a photo taken by some australian tourists.

(my apologies for the quality of this photo, but it works as a sort of concealer, you can’t really see ALL of the flaws;-)
